Talking Best Song on The Division Bell

Sorry to post these, but every other album had this poll, why not the Waters-less albums also.

Anyway

What's your pick for best songs from The Division Bell?

Personally I love 'Marooned' and 'High Hopes'.

See ya, we would zig-zag our way, through the boredom and pain!

Here are the songs I voted for:

#1--Wearing the Inside Out. No Floyd song means more to me.
#2--Poles Apart/Marooned. I almost think of this as one song.
#3--Coming Back to Life
#4--Cluster One
#5--High Hopes

I really love many songs on this album so it's a difficult choice. Anyway my vote goes to High Hopes, Wearing The Inside Out, Cluster One and Marooned. I just don't understand the couple WDYWFM/Take It Back. Two very different songs, WDYWFM is one of my favourites from TDB and Take It Back is the worst song on the entire album!!!

If Bertin Brando would like, I can separate them.

All I need is for the people who voted where there are two songs to tell me which one they were voting for (or if they wanted both).

i feel like i've been through this before though i'm not sure if it was with you or not. you can only have ten choices on a poll. then a moderator can add more if you would like them. so in this case FWr will kindly seperate the two songs so now there will be 11 choices. but regular users can only put ten.

Yes I understand the problem... probably the only solution for you was coupling two songs, maybe I would have chosen the two instrumentals or... I don't know!!! I just wanted to express MY problem with those two particular songs because they are poles apart for MY taste!!!

11 choices would be the best thing. Floydwright, please give us a hand!

Oh and I put those two together because to me, those are the two songs that sound either semi-out-of-place or too pop. I don't know if I made sense, but those two just stand out when I listen to TDB, because they're more pop oriented with less personal and serious lyrics. I like both songs though, they're even better live. And I didn't want to put the two instrumentals together beause they're just both really great, stand better on their own than WDYWFM and Take it Back. IMHO.
Sorry for the inconvenience though!
But even so, 11 posts!

IMO the "alien pair" on TDB is Take It Back/Coming Back To Life.

Wearing the Inside Out gets my vote. Wright wrote his best song (solo) in about 30 years with this one - awesome tune, great feel, heartfelt lyrics (w/ help from Anthony Moore), some really tasty guitar filler from BDG - it's just a great, great song.

Since that option has already been voted on, I need to know where I should put the vote tallies. Should I give a vote to "Take it Back" when I list it separately?

FW, give it to What Do You Want From Me, please.

I think it's the better song, and I voted for those two.

Thanks!!!

I voted for High Hopes, the best post-Waters song IMO. Oh one of the instrumentals isn't all that bad, unfortunately, I don't know the album well enough to know the name of it so I didn't vote for it.

They have very distinctly different sounds at the beginning. Was it the one with the seagulls or the one with the crackling sounds?

The first is "Marooned" and the second is "Cluster One".

Another way to identify "Marooned" is by the extremely high-pitched, "weeping" guitar that sounds almost like a human voice.
