Re: Best Song On Momentary Lapse Of Reason

Sorrow has a great intro, but kind of like Coming Back to Life on TDB, the rest of it doesn't live up to the start.
Having said that, it'd be between Sorrow and Learning to Fly for best on MLOR.

I don't even have DSOT... Surely it's not THAT good?
DSOT, Works, Collection of Great Dance Songs and Relics are the only official albums i don't own. Relics i've been meaning to get for about a year, the other three I've not really thought about...

Re: Best Song On Momentary Lapse Of Reason

Sorrow is my most favourite song, but both instrumentals, Learning To Fly, Yet Another Movie and On The Turning Away are also very good.

They did not play One Slip and WelcomeTTM in 1994 I think.

Re: Best Song On Momentary Lapse Of Reason

On The Turning Away by a milestone. Learning to Fly and Terminal Frost are second. Then comes One Slip, which concludes just about all that's good on the album. Sorrow is ok, but I don't see it as great as a lot of you think it is.

Re: Best Song On Momentary Lapse Of Reason

"Sorrow". Sort of 80s, but that solo never fails to give me the chills. AMLOR may not go down in history as a milestone, but Sorrow gets my fair share of

"On The Turning Away" is a good song, as well, but it gets a little tiring, IMO. The collaboration between the drums and guitar on the solo is great, though.

Re: Best Song On Momentary Lapse Of Reason

You're right, very 80's but still a classic nontheless! Fab guitar solo
