I picked Learning to Fly and One Slip... both are great songs. As for Terminal Frost... I find that track kinda boring.

#1--Tie between Sorrow and Yet Another Movie #2--Terminal Frost #3--Signs of Life #4--One Slip I almost voted for Learning to Fly...but I think the PULSE version is VASTLY superior...so I couldn't give the award to this version. Although I didn't say this when I voted for the TDB songs, even the "weaker" songs are NOT bad songs, and work within the context of the album. This album has been giving me a chill lately--remember how I equated it to a nuclear war? BTW--I worry for the poster who used the name "Roger Waters". Remember, he is an Indian soldier who is serving on the border with Pakistan. I fear for his life.

Here my choice is definite, and it's Sorrow. Even if I like this album and songs like On The Turning Away, Yet Another Movie, Signs Of Life are very good, Sorrow is definitely the best.

He was, and I think he said so on the forum. "Roger Waters" and I really hit it off, when he got here...I remember not everyone seemed to take to him that well, but I remember we talked a good bit, and exchanged PM's as well. Since it's been so long, I'm rather worried. It's quite possible he's simply in a place where he has no computer access. But with the hostilities, I think you can see why I'm worried for him...he was a friend of mine. I think I'll try to find his e-mail on the forum, and if he has an address, I'll see if I can at least get word that he's OK. Even if he hasn't got the time for the forum, it MIGHT be possible that he does have a chance once in awhile to check e-mail...?

Here's a question: Which one has better live versions of 'Learing To Fly' and 'Sorrow? Delicate Sound of Thunder or Pulse?

I voted for 'Yet Another Movie'. Gilmour's (successful) attempt at a darker, heavier sound and lyric. Plus his solo in the middle of the song kicks ass!

B_B, I will let the forum know as soon as I get anything. Even if everything is OK, it may take awhile, given that he's probably in a combat area.

An interesting thing. I had a dream that combined AMLoR and TFC...very scary. A note on the differences between the two artists...Mr. Gilmour's work on AMLoR provided a lot of the sensory detail, whereas Mr. Waters' work provided a base for the political background. Both made for one heck of a scary dream.

I prefer the Pulse version of Learning to Fly and the DSoT version of Sorrow. Just my two cents worth |

I just wanted to know because a friend asked me to record him MLOR. And I want to put On The Turning Away from DSOT, because I consider it to be superior. I also thought the same thing about Dogs of War, but wasn't sure which live version was better with Learning to Fly and Sorrow. Thanks. That must have been one freaky dream Floyd Wright Would make a great Twilight Zone episode!

B_B, it was a very scary dream, and though it was distorted as all dreams are, it did feel frighteningly realistic, to go through that experience.

Geez, FloydWright... first, it's a scary dream with Sheep as the soundtrack... and now, another scary dream involving AMLoR and TFC! How come you have so many Floyd dreams, let alone ones that are scary? I've only had one Floyd dream... it was actually a delusion... but I've posted about that.

Because I dream a lot in the first place, sometimes even having more than one dream in a night. High number of dreams = heightened chance of a Floyd dream.
