Best tracks from 'The Final Cut'!

Hey, it's only fair.

What are your favorite tracks from 'The Final Cut'

My picks are:

- Your Possible Pasts
- The Gunner's Dream
- The Fletcher Memorial Home
- The Final Cut
- Not Now John
- Two Suns in The Sunset

As you could tell, I really like this album, even though I know it gets bashed quite a lot by Floyd fans!

Hero's Return is even better with Part 2 added to it. A fuller song IMO.

I voted for Your Possible Pasts.
I don't know... but it's the only one that really stuck out when I first listened to the album. The chorus is great... "Don't you remember me? How we used to be? Don't you think we should be closer?"... and then a great Gilmour solo... amazing!
I don't want to comment on the rest of the album, however. I'll just sound like a broken record, since I have said my opinions elsewhere.
I'll just say that I do not like the rest of the album.

-Not Now John
-The Gunner's Dream

I don't like TFC very much because of the dead tempo. But there's some good stuff on it though!

TFC is at the bottom of my Floyd album list but it has three good songs:

The Final Cut
The Fletcher Memorial Home
The Gunner's Dream

Although it IS in my Top 5 albums...so I'd say I really do like a lot of other songs on it. Those are just the standout tracks.

I very rarely listen to this album, but these two tracks made it onto my 4 CD 'Best Of' PF compilation I just burned myself for my car...

The Final Cut (the song) is a masterpiece imho.
That line actually made me RogerFan (well almost) - "I held the blade in trembling hands prepared to make it but..." - so emotional !!!!
I don't care much for the rest of the album though Not Now John has great Dave singing and Your Possible Pasts is really good too (Don't you think we should be closer...).

The Final Cut is probably my least played Floyd album (after Ummagumma) but I'm quite fond of Paranoid Eyes.

Taking a cue from Radiochair, I'll say Not Now, John is the best track on TFC, because I think it is the best track on TFC.

"Stuff all that, we've gotta get on with these. Stuff all that!"
