Re: Actual, proper real vinyl

I picked up a Russian version of 'zoso' and 'houses of the holy' as a doubler also. The Russian interpretation of the painting of the gentleman carrying the sticks is fantastic: A photo of the most English, academically minded middle aged Gentleman smoking a pipe and standing beside a PortaKabin, that they could possibly ever have come up with.

My description does not do it justice here, unfortunately. It really has to be held against the original to be appreciated.

And it's on that shatty cardpaper stuff, too.

Cheers,

Mark

ps- anyone have the Russian inverted DSotM on vinyl?

Indeed. I won't tell you the price, cos I think you'll make a short visit to Romania, kill me, take my vinyl and buy thousand others!

Re: Actual, proper real vinyl

I like vinyl, although I'm also short of a record-player. They just look and feel better than cds. I've got some cool vinyl that i'm getting rid of. For details, see my sig.

Do you guys without players buy records for their collectors value, just to have, or because you plan to buy a record player one day?

Well I have a turntable, but I hardly ever play my records on it. There's the hiss..... and Abbey Road skips during 'Her Majesty'.

I have a turntable (which sometimes even works! :o ), but I rarely listen to AMLOR on it. I rarely listen to any vinyl cos I'm afraid something will go wrong with the turntable again.

It is fun to play with speeds, though.

Re: Actual, proper real vinyl

Well, yeah, but if I leave the room, I have to come back in and fight my way through the decibels upon decibels of '...but she doesn't have a lot to--- but she doesn't have a lot to--- but she doesn't have a lot to---' etc., which is annoying.
