| Re: World Cup! That's the brutal thing about this game, it don't matter how you won as long as you won. But once more, YAY!!!!!!! Sorry I'll cease this now ooh did anyone see last night's game between Senegal and Uraguay, now THAT was quality football, none of this Aussie rules bollocks ( I may now get shunned by my Aussie boys but being of a European heritage I can't help it, soccer is in my blood) And am VERY glad Senegal moved to the next round, they bloody desrve it, a little obscure country that had never really made a mark in world football before, I'm all for the underdog! cheers

Arsenal. And know what's REALLY funny? Guess who else is an Arsenal fan? Mr. Waters! I LOVE to imagine the look of chagrin on his face when things like this are announced: "And the game is saved by that fantastic stop by RICHARRRRRRD WRIGHT!" I hope it brings up some embarrassment! And to those of you in America who are not soccer fans, I don't mean to be rude, but do you think most people in other countries care about the Super Bowl? Let's let everyone have their fun here!

| Being an hostage to Arsenal because of it's proximity, I also support the current Double Cup Winners, Arsenal - more to spite those who hate them than anything else - whose Manager Arsene Wenger, just completes the round "arse-all" which is what I truly know about football, being a transplanted Yank. But I have scarily got into this round of World Cup furore; I'm so ashamed, but damned pleased for the English boys, and the American boys as well, and the Mexicans. Gosh, ripe for upset or what? :o I may know nothing about it but I know Brazil and Italy will have to be stopped to lift the trophy. These boys have been to deep sea divers training. FWr: as a proud Gunner, I suspect RWr would feel pleased as punch if his namesake saved the day for the club. Go you Gunners! Arsenal Footlball Club

| Re: World Cup! "Gunner" would be a nickname for Arsenal's members, right? <--FWr is being dense today.I can imagine that, if he's aware Mr. Waters is a fan, there would be some slightly vengeful thoughts going through his head if his namesake saved the day. (I don't care how soft-spoken someone may be. We're human. We have those thoughts! )

| Re: World Cup! Correct: members and supporters of Arsenal are known as Gunners. You confused me with your other statement. ![]() Why would Richard Wright, the Floyd, have even slightly vengeful thoughts when his namesake, playing for his favourite team, saves the day? I should think he'd be rather excited and grateful.
