| Re: World Cup! As for the Italy situation, I don't see how you can complain. It's not like they played spectacular football to get there. They had only won one out of three of their games. They were definitely not up to their usual standards. Italy's team always acts like a bunch of babies when they lose, always blaming somebody. ![]() |

| Re: World Cup! Yup. It was good to see them keep the Germans down. I particularly enjoyed the ginger goalkeeper Khan's face as he sat against the goal looking utterly dejected, post game. The newsreader today described him as 'The World's Loneliest Man'. Isn't that brilliant? After the unfair tactics that they displayed at the beginning against, I think, Camaroon, it was heart warming to see them lose so totally and utterly. Not mentioning the war, Mark

| Re: World Cup! I was rooting for Germany, personally. No good reason for it, except that Brazil does a little too well too often for my liking. |

| Yeah, I already knew who'd win for a while. I pretty much already knew that Brazil would win since the beginning. It was no surprise I was right. But hey, it won't last forever, in about two years or so, I'm sure USA will take the gold.
