Why 'except Byron'?

Have a fallout, did you?

Tears,

Re: The "What Ever Happened To...?" thread.

Fixxy, my dear, fallout is what happens when you blow up Hiroshima. No, when I said "except Byron," I believe it was one of those "cruel" and "deliberate" "ribbings" that pass between "friends" when one of aforementioned "friends" is me. Byron and I are still deeply in.... uh... friendship, from a distance, .... or something. Actually I forget what I meant. No wonder I stopped coming, I'm an idiot.

Re: The "What Ever Happened To...?" thread.

Well Gerald T. Mouse, I am glad you explained that slight of omission against me as I was about to get the right hump. Now you've explained yourself, I'll have just the regular, common or garden hump.

Anyway, in spite of my savaged feelings, I shall welcome you back and tell you that we did indeed miss you and your idiot posts.

Forever Friends in Floyd,
Byron

Re: The "What Ever Happened To...?" thread.

Byron,

You have always been like a big brother to me, in the sense that you are older and commonly more drunk than myself. Also you scare my girlfriend. That aside, I thank you for your welcome and your ugly HTML-laden post. It really is good to talk to you again--- and that goes to all the rest of you who aren't talking to me again just-quite-yet. Once I had a dream, and that dream became a reality when I first became a member of this forum, and the disease-rotted clowns chasing me with ginsu knives only enhanced the realization of that dream.

Gerald

PS--- Sorry, I spelled "realization" with a z ("zed") rather than an s, and those non-Yanks of you probably hate me for it. Apologies.

PPS--- Realization Realization Realization Realization Realization

Re: The "What Ever Happened To...?" thread.

Gerald,

Though some might say it's lost some of it's appeal, but as it's still sincerely felt, I'll say the usual "always a pleasure, never a chore."

I may well fulfil some big-brother role, but you will always be more drunk than I since I do not normally drink. Alcohol is NOT my poison of choice.

And why should your girlfriend fear me? I'm so loveable and cuddly and gentle, nobody should stand in fear of little old me.

Incidentally, your "zed" in "realization" is another example of the evolution of English by the British, and the stagnation of the English of Americans.

During an episode of Inspector Morse, a TV homicide detective with a snobbish, intellectual attitude in Oxford's rarified community. In this episode, Morse discovers a note and surmises it was written by the sole American suspect in the case because of the zed in a word, where Morse claims the "s" is correct and "proper English".

He was incorrect. The "s" is a relatively new convention used almost exclusively by the British and her former, less revolting colonies. The zed is equally correct but its history is much older - going back at least as far as the Mayflower pilgrims - than the "s." So in a sense, you were right, and wrong.

"Just thought you'd like to know."

Unhappy Re: The "What Ever Happened To...?" thread.

No one remembered I was gone... Oh well, the only thing I ever did on this forum was criticizing The Wall, mocking the CUT version of Echoes, prasing the MORE album (which is still very good!),trying to explain why TDB is good on my opinion, giving people reasons to listen to AMLoR,and all kinds of nice things...and of course trying to fight the eternal WATERS vs. GILMOUR question (not telling you which side I was on,but if I listen to TDB and AMLoR,well then you could guess..

Re: The "What Ever Happened To...?" thread.

Had you gone? I didn't notice, but of course nobody, least of all me, pays any attention to anyone with less than 100 posts.

You might get noticed more if you posted more provocative or contentious messages:

Try attacking one of the old fora-horses, someone from The Guild of Stygian Witches (1000+ posters) or the Moderator du jour.

You could also thoroughly trash any PF band member, past or present, you deluded GilmourWhore#???.

That should get you noticed, quick-time.

All the above = JUST KIDDING!

Talking Nostalgia

No,well.I had my moments...I kind of lost interest after the Echoes compilation, took two months for a Roger Waters Best Of album to appear but I guess I just lost interest.one thing that annoys me is that different forms of metal music are wrapping it's deadly claws around me and strangling me with it's brutal, grotesque and atavistic (atavistic?) lyrics. But then, I found Pink Floyd again when I listened to Atom Heart Mother. The first thing I did was I returned to this forum. Nice to see old veterans still continuing here, and adding even more chapters of their historic story. But anyhow, you'll be seeing me more often, hope I won't annoy anyone, but in case I do, I apologise in advance.

Re: The "What Ever Happened To...?" thread.

Well you can find my last contribution to this forum on the "Best Pink Floyd Cover" thread,as to what I can see Driven and I both agreed on that PULSE is the best cover. But primarily, the previous comment indeed belongs to it's rightful thread.
