| Re: What do you play more? About 50/50. TFC--I like the story. AMLoR--I like the music. But neither one often.

| Re: What do you play more? I listen to AMLOR a lot more than TFC, but not much. Given the choice, I would rather listen to AMLOR. |

| Re: What do you play more? Not sure really. It all depends on what mood I'm in. Or what I've got that's at hand. But if I had to choose, I'd say TFC. But just by a nose hair!!! ~Brian~

| Re: What do you play more? AMLOR. It's not my most played PF album but I listened to TFC a couple of months ago -after years- and I think I'm not going to listen to it again very soon.

| Re: What do you play more? Ouch. This is a difficult one. I like them both--for different things, but I like both of them. I'd say I listen more frequently to AMLoR, but that says nothing about which one I like more. I just usually prefer to hear TFC in a quiet, dark room, whereas I will play AMLoR in the car or pretty much anywhere else.

| Re: What do you play more? I gotta admit, the first time I heard TFC I was wondering where Gilmours' vocals were. The mainstream would probably have gone for it more. Gilmours' production would have leaned more mainstream, too. Waters is a personal artist and I admire that he doesn't 'water down' his work to please radio programmers and the casual fans. Gilmour just naturally has a mainstream approach and so I don't think he waters it down either, it's just what he likes. I am glad they followed the Wall with a small, personal record. One more smash hit like The Wall and they would be so popular we'd hate 'em or something. TFC can be a little dull in some places but I really like tracks 2,4,5,10,11,&12. As for Momentary Lapse, well, I bitch about what has become of the floyd all the way through it so I only hear the first minute and a half of each song. I never should have read that lyric sheet. |

| Re: What do you play more? Quote:
Gotta admit.... Mever have listened to 'gilmor's lack of integrity' all the way thru. Dont like his voice enough to tolerate the lack of lyrics and although I love his guitar... without Roger's imput, it just aint Pink! Finally I understand the feelings of the few.... The Final Cut is an incredible album. Roger answering so many of his personal demons. Demons that were 'haunting' thousands of people all over the world. Gilmore hated it. Thats ok, he's entitled to his opinion, but as Roger related; A lady approached him in a market saying that she understood what he was saying as she had lost her father early in her life because of war also. Roger said that was good enough for him. ac/mq drs ![]()
