Lightbulb Help us design a new logo for the "The Wall" theme

We are desperately needing a new logo that looks good with the The Wall theme. If you are a graphic designer or just someone who wants to help, your help is greatly appreciated. If you ever design a new logo or just want to suggest something regarding this, just post a comment or attach your file here.

idea for wording

Hey, this might be kind of obvious, or stupid....
But I was thinking you could use "The Wall" font. I have it on my computer, it's called "floydian". Maybe you could try to download it from somewhere? Oh well, just an idea....

Whosdaman?

(gilmour of course)

Hi Whosdaman, and welcome! Yes, our old logo (which was actually only for the forums, not for the whole site) used that "The Wall" font. It's available here on the [ulr=http://www.pinkfloydfan.net/index.php?page=files]computer files[/url] section. It's just that I'm not being very creative at using it to create a really cool logo!

Any try is greatly appreciated, Zax. I'm sure you'll do a much better job than me, so whenever you come up with something, just attach it here. And thanks!

Looks interesting..

It does look good. I always thought of putting the "All" word turned 90 degrees, just like the current logo, but your alternative does indeed look better, in my opinion. Maybe you could turn on the anti-alias, so the definition looks better?

What do you think, everyone?

I'm working on an idea that I'd be willing to have a better artist take over: I took the album cover of Wish You Were Here and did a little work on my wonderful editing software (MS PAINTBRUSH!!! )...

Anything could go into the area that's burned away--this is just an image to show the basic concept.

I don't know why it wouldn't show the attachment; it was originally supposed to be in this thread. Let me work with it to see if I can make it come up...

I am unable to post attachments, for some reason.

I can see it when I go to edit the thread, but I don't know why it won't show up in the thread like everyone else's...

What I have done is borrowed some space on my website and created a page to display it on...in order to use it, you'll have to copy it.

BoaB--I just combined what you and Mr. Dallagnol designed with mine. You can view the result in the link on the last post.

I don't think the particular image I'm showing as the combined logo should be the final one, however; it would be best to use the template I give and then design the text to better fit the hole "burned" in the wall. Again, I defer to a better artist for that.

Here's my version.
As you can see, I didn't do anything to it at all, really. I took the one from FloydWright's website (with BoaB's logo in it) and chopped a bit off the top, which I think it needed.
How does it look now?

OK, if the top is chopped off, then does the writing need to be moved down in order to be centred within the burned-out area?

Whoever has the Floydian font could perhaps construct an appropriately-sized text block and make it go in there.

The four of us (Piper, BoaB, you, and me) could make a wonderful design team!

So, it's online...

Yeah, that does look very good indeed. I got Shane's picture, changed the colors a bit, chopped some of the top and right a bit and there it is, in the upper left corner... So what do you think? Anything else should be changed?

BTW, thank you all for your wonderful and insightful ideas and designs...
