Video Conferencing

Does anyone know of any good programs for video conferencing over the Internet?

Cheers,
Shaye.

Re: Video Conferencing

I don't know, but the cellular phone (Nokia N70) I got at my new job has the opportunity for video conference. I haven't tried it yet.

Re: Video Conferencing

Yeah, I can do that on my 6630, but it's pretty low-res. There's a restaurant in both New York and London with a one-on-one dedicated room with a large plasma and discreet camera that allows both parties to eat on either side of the Atlantic and talk 'together', as it were.

I know that this doesn't help but hey- it's actually on-topic (for once).

Re: Video Conferencing

This has to be the first time in the APFFN that we're staying on topic after four posts.

I think it's possible to do video conference on the new MSN Live Messenger, but I haven't tried it. But I used it in a telephone conference once. The sound quality is much better than using a telephone.

Re: Video Conferencing

I think that there are a lot of factors that define the actual quality of the broadcast, however, a half decent webcam, good speed broadband and a moderately recent video card should, y'know, be adequate to have at least a reasonably functional conference.

I dion't know fixx,

Ten videos streaming to your machine at once? Not really possible unless you have a dedicated machine for that....

Thanks Hove. I'll check it out.

Re: Video Conferencing

You can always get the little camera for the 360, which you can use for video chat. Of course, you need a 360 to do that...
