Re: Which one's Pink?

No, AnimalintheWall, the band Pink Floyd wasn't devastated when Waters left, but the lyrical brilliance of their music certainly took a steep nose-dive.

No-one, would dream of impugning the remaining members' instrumental talents; yes, that IS a slight dig at David's & Richard's devolving vocal abilities.

Re: Which one's Pink?

There is no Pink, theres not even a Pink Floyd it's just a name given to a group of preformers who every so offten change their compostion (as band members).

Re: Which one's Pink?

well i don't know what to say because there's simply too much to say. we all have our own tastes and one says gilmour is pink, another that waters is pink but if you start listening to their solo work and compare them to what the band did at the time you'll only find some resemblances between syd's solos and the piper but still, what syd did solo was very simplistic, musically speaking. the lyrics were pretty much the same. oh and there's of course the final cut which is identical to rog's solo work (but everyone knows the final cut wasn't actually a floyd album, it was a waters album). so you be the judge. who's pink if all their solo albums sound different than their work with pink floyd? they are all pink.
they all have pink stains on them.

since they split up i kept jumping from waters to floyd (what was left) but whenever i listened to one i felt the lack of the other. ok, so waters may be the lyrical genius, but without floyd i'd advise him to stick to poetry... and the floyd to instrumentals

anyway, to end this post on a happier tone, cheers to the floyd! all of 'em!
