That was, quite easily, the single longest post ever.

Good reaction, FloydWright. It took me about four minutes to download all that drivel.

Strat kind of had to hit me on the head (a necessary blow), but I finally got it.

And I thought my monologues were bad...

Unhappy

Sorry about that everyone. I probably should have made clear what it was that I was posting. It was the first twelve chapters of Das Kapital, not the Communist Manifesto, which doesn't even have twelve chapters.

Euphen's stupid post

Wow. If I was Euphen I wouldn't have pasted the footnotes because that really gives away the fact that he copied and pasted. It probably is good that you all deleted it, it really took forever to load. It was worth it though, for I probably need to read Kapital sometime soon, it just seems so big. I started it and then i just get distracted and read trotsky or something instead. It's more fun.

Well, Trotsky, and especially Lenin, seem to be much better writers than Marx. Marx just sounds so dull and intellectual while Lenin sounds forceful and persuasive and Trotsky sounds anti-Stalinist. I just didn't post anything by Trotsky or Lenin because I assumed everyone here was familiar with their work. And I included the footnotes because they help with the reading.

Good one Joker- 'The Magus' is probably one of the best books that I've ever read and coincidentally, happen to be re-reading at the moment.

I believe that you were correct i assuming that everyone here has read the works of Lenin and Trotsky. I think most self- respecting Pink Floyd fans have at the very least read things like "State and Revolution" and "The Revolution Betrayed".

By the way, you can buy a set called "The Collected Works of Leon Trotsky" from Pathfinder Books for $275.00. I know that sounds like alot of money, but it is 14 volumes, people!

Hey, stratman, I would change that signature if I were you. You don't want to look like the kind of person that puts something like "....shall we buy a new guitar??....shall we drive a more powerful car??....HELL YES!!!!" in his signature. It just gives a bad impression.

My god, fourteen volumes? Das Kapital only has three finished volumes. According the www.marxists.org you can buy the collected works of Marx for $25 a volume. I don't know from where though.

Hey Euphen, speaking of Marxism, how do you feel about Robert Fripp and King Crimson?

My god. You led into that like an australian sheepdog. I'd have to say though, if you don't consider Pink Floyd progressive rock, King Crimson is my favorite progressive rock band. Robert Fripp is also probably the most skilled guitarist that I know of. He's certainly a lot better than Gilmour at least.

Why, Thank you. I'll have to think about that ona a little. My favorite lineup of King Crimson is probably the 73/74 lineup, that actually sounds the most modern of all I think. The First lineup was a bit too "sixtiesish" i guess, the eighties too "eightiesish" and poppy, and the 90's ones are a bit annoying. I think it is that idiot Belew.

I'd probably agree with you about that Tarkus. But to get back on topic, do you still support the Socialist Equality Party? I myself have taken quite a liking to the Sparticists League.
