Thread resurrection operation continues:

I suppose, apart from Wonderwall and a few others, OBC has won this poll hands-down.

What think you, the newer folk?

Hey BoaB...

I'm not new, but I hadn't voted yet. OBC gets another for the tally!

San Francisco - what's that? Isn't it the 15:00 version of Interstellar Overdrive?

Tonite Let's All Make Love in London - nice IO and Nick's Boogie is one of the most freakiest songs I've heard

The Committee - That must be a great movie, considering the dialogues in the soundtrack. I like the dynamic rock tune in it

More - lots of nice music. 3rd place

Zabriskie Point (extended version if you like) - very good songs (especially the blues, the jazz piano, CWTAE), 4th place

The Body - weird music by Ron Geesin and but rather nice Roger's acoustic songs, 5th place

Obscured by Clouds (La Vallee) - great underrated album, all songs fantastic, 1st place

Magritte (Roger Waters) - very scary, although it somehow fits with Magritte's paintings.

The Hit (Roger Waters & Eric Clapton do the theme music) - one nice tune only

When the Wind Blows (Roger Waters) - great music, Towers Of Faith is one of the best songs Roger wrote, good and moving instrumental pieces, 2nd place

BBC Moon Landing Coverage (one Floyd song - Moonhead) - interesting, but no high quality available

White of the Eye (Nick Mason and Rick Fenn) - Profiles II

La Carrera Panamericana (Post-Roger Floyd) - some nice tunes, but very weak overally. No new essential music that deserves to be released under the Pink Floyd name

Ruby Takes a Trip (Gilmour), Art of Tripping (Gilmour), Colours of Infinity (Gilmour) - nothing valuable.

Dybbuk of the Holy Apple Field (Waters - Knockin' on Heaven's Door) - great cover available on Flickering Flame

Leggenda del Pianista Sull Oceano/Legend of 1900 (Waters - Lost Boys Calling) - very nice song, also available on FF

I voted for Obscured By Clouds

Actually, the version of Lost Boys Calling on FF is pretty terrible, the finished soundtrack is better, it's got a solo by Mr. Edward van Halen... other than that, Neshabur, you've got just about everything covered there. San Francisco is, indeed, the 15 minute IO... creepy film, that.

voted for zabriskie point (just 2 votes) but just the version with all the outtakes (like Love scene version x and HeartBeat, PigMeat)
More and OBC are also great
Tonite... is very nice but sometimes it is boring. The video is fantastic! (found on winmx)

I'd have to go with OBC and then More, because on a good day, I can usually get through those albums. My copy of Tonite.... has all the songs rather quiet so it's hard to get into the songs if you're having to try to even hear the songs. I'm sure when i watch my HYGIY? VCDs, I'll be able to get the performance more. The San Fransisco film is pretty unusual, and the soundtrack sounds really good with it.
