Who likes the Who?

man, that is some really crappy news. Looks like I won't be seeing the Who in August after all. Music lost quite a talent. I guess we can all listen to our who albums a little more thoughtfully now!

all i can say is...f*ck.

John was the Ox, he was the silent, reserved pillar, foundation, base (bass) that the band was built from in my point of view. When the rest of the band was freaking out, destroying their instruments, John was almost the anchor to keep them from going too far out. He did seem like a really nice guy. That just sucks, because I had heard they might have been going back into the studio. It's sad, he was only the second oldest behind Daltrey.


I know it's completely inappropriate, but why God, why couldn't you have taken Daltrey?!

I have just learned that the Who will continue their tour without Entwistle. That's not bad - they say that's what he would have wanted, and the first show (Saturday, in Hollywood) will have a special tribute to Entwistle.

who's going to fill in for Entwistle? Who, who, who, who?

Dirty Kiddie Fiddler Gary Glitter ironically hit Daltrey in the eye during a rehearsal for one of those 'supergroup' gigs (Gilmour was also strutting his lipid stuff during it too) with the 'swinging mic' move, so Daltrey had to wear an eye patch for the real thing.

Amusingly, it had that 'Mod' circle thing on it.
