Who likes the Who?

I don't hate The Who, but I only heard 4-5 songs of theirs. Tho they sounded pretty good.

Absolutely love them...I'd have to go with Who's Next, which IMO is their finest. Though "Tommy", "Sell Out", and "Quadrophenia" rank up there very close. The song "Who Are You" kicks ass, but the album isn't their best. And the sequence of "A Quick One" was cool.

the who are great. too bad you didn't have live at leeds in the poll as that is a great album. especially the new one with the live tommy disc. but of course whos next is the best. great songs like "the song is over" and "gettin in tune". other good ones are tommy, quadrophenia, and a very overlooked one is their first album. great songs on that album like so sad about us.

I used to own Who's Next on vinyl, but gave it away... stupid me...

I put favorites down as The Who Sell Out and Tommy. These are the only albums I currently own.

The Who Sell Out is a fine piece of late-'60s psychedelic pop, especially the first side. I also like the little radio commercials in between songs...

I bought Tommy on vinyl a while before I listened to it. I may be ridiculed for this, but I was inspired to listen to the album after watching the film. When I finally did listen to it, I found that I liked it at lot. It's also the only Who CD I own.

(I just noticed that I'm the only one to have voted for The Who Sell Out... hmmm...)

The Who are good. I don't have anything besides "Tommy" but we listen to them at my friend's house. Roger Daltry's "patch pants" are so cool... Very very lovely!

dunno about Quadrophenia...you have to give credit very much due to Who's Next and the whole of the Lifehouse project for that matter...I mean, though we've all heard it a billion times and can't seem to escape it at times, Baba O'Riley is a rock song for the ages...not to mention really good sh*t like My Wife, Won't Get Fooled Again, Bargain, Relay, and so on and so forth...


...Though I will admit, Love Reign O'er Me, Bell Boy, and Drowned are some of my favourite songs ever.

i was speaking on the Lifehouse themed area...not in particular just Who's Next...i don't know if it was on any sort of compilation like other singles, but I know it was remixed and put in the "Thirty Years of Maximum R&B" box set.

Oh. I thought maybe there was a different version of Who's Next. I don't know much about the Lifehouse soundtrack other than Won't get fooled again. I'd like to hear more.
