There was no..."None of the Above" choice...Sorry guys..perhaps it's because I am a gal...or just a scardy(sp?) cat...prrrr....I have never enjoyed chop em up movies. I guess I am more of a Wizard of Oz type chick.

The original Halloween is the only one I've seen. So i voted for that. Recently I watched "Scary Movie" and pretty much caught up with every slasher-horror movie made since. Those Wayans boys are funny

I just want to say:

Stratman, I think your new signature is funny as hell.

And when will we see your Nick Mason avatar?

I've got Nick waiting in the wings. I put Rick on there just to kiss-up to FloydWright, but she's obviously "on holiday" (as our Euro-cousins would say) so it was a wasted effort(j/k).......so what the hell, I'm gonna put on Nick!

I didn't like Scary Movie, and didn't see the second one. And the Wayans you speak of, Marlon and Sean, I don't think are funny. Damon or Keenan Ivory, maybe. I did love In Living Color. But, with Scary Movie, I like British potty humour, as opposed to American gross out humour (I didn't like American Pie, either).

I thought I'd be the only one...

By the Way, BOAB, I used to be in the Air Force myself. I remember hearing a lot about Chanute from an instructor of mine at Sheppard. Must have been a wild place.

Re: Hall8ween: Ressurection? Bah Humbug...

Ok let's set the record straight. The flaw in almost every thrasher movie is they are not scary. A handful of movies, if that, have actually scared me. The fredy movies were ok cause Freddie was kinda funny. Scream was a good flick, even though it wasn't scary. Scary movie was funny, as well as American Pie. Total laughs in their sequels, combined: 3. Sorry Hollywood, you gotta stop it with the number 2s.

PS I am a 26 year old, not gay (not that there's anything wrong with it) red-blooded American male, and I love Wizard of Oz, even before the synchronization.

Brainlessly yours,

Re: Hall8ween: Ressurection? Bah Humbug...

nothing wrong with Wiz of Oz, though I do prefer watching with the synch.

I know slasher movies aren't scary. And I only like one slasher movie, the only true one in my mind, and that is Halloween and it's sequel. I've seen them so many times that I'm no longer frightened or surprised by it, but I just think it's a beautiful piece of film.

On the John Carpenter front, how many of you were simply scared silly by 'The Thing'?

Cheers,
