| Re: Hall8ween: Ressurection? Bah Humbug... The Shining was scary. I was always partial to Night of The Living Dead myself. And also Texas Chainsaw Massacre, though a lot of the people i know have a habit of bashing it. |

| Re: Hall8ween: Ressurection? Bah Humbug... Hey, Icarus: I dig Night of the Living Dead, too. Not a half-bad film for the budget it had. And I also liked Texas Chainsaw Massacre. That was some pretty scary stuff. As for The Shining, I read the book and loved it; but I have not gotten around to watching the film. I tell you... Scream did scare the crap out of me. I only watched the first scene, where the Drew Barrymore character (unfortunately) gets killed. I nearly pissed myself, and had to stop watching it (I wish there was an 'embarrassed' smiley right now). However, I was only 10 or 11, so I was more sensitive to that kind of stuff then. |

| Re: Hall8ween: Ressurection? Bah Humbug... Drew Barrymore fan, eh? I really don't think she's all that attractive, nor that great of an actress. She will forever live in my mind as the little girl from ET. |

| Re: Hall8ween: Ressurection? Bah Humbug... I agree with y'all who think "The Shining" was scary. I can't think of another movie that had such subtle, yet chilling stuff in it. Like the scene chariz mentioned about Jack furiously typing his novel, then you see it's hundreds of pages of "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"over and over..... And that part about the old dead lady in the bathtub in room 516 or whatever. Yeah, that movie is a classic. I think I'll go rent it and watch it again.

She was good in The Wedding Singer at least, and Girls On Top with Whoopi and the whitest woman in America whose name for the female genitalia was "sissy" and "woo-woo". Then the Whoopster taught her the dreaded "c"-word, shouting it from the rafters. ![]() charizmapf28: Mt. How could you ever be scared of a thing like that? Written by that Stephen King guy isn't it.

im not one for Stanley Kubrick (more pointedly put- i think he was a big pervert who just got older and more perverted towards the end of his life, and his film-making career) the shining was pretty scarey... but i got more freaked out by other films... i havent seen the shining in a while tho i hated the candy man... *shudders* but i was only 13 when i saw that... hehe... not too fussed on seeing it a second time to get a more updated opinion tho! and i think Drew is the best .. dont mind me... im just a craizy daizy
