Look, it's about the pressures of modern life: Travel, money, ignorance (in it's truest sense) of heroism performed by previous generations, Fear Of Death, Rick Wright solos, madness, growing up and the whole damn lot. They did the going to school bit, but later on.

Most of this has been said a few times previously.

Later things really got confusing.
Much analysis followed.

As said previously, it's simply a look at some of the things that affect your in your life. 'Time', 'Money', the 'Us and them' attitude, not sure about 'the great gig in the sky', and then there's insanity in 'Brain damage'.

I find 'Eclipse' quite interesting. There are a great many references to the Sun in DSoTM, and they culminate with "Everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon". What does this exactly mean? I was thinking that The Sun is symbolic of some sort of 'Higher power' in the universe, because as mentioned in 'Time' "the sun is the same in a relative way...", i.e. the sun is a very permanent thing, the only truely permanent thing in our lives as everything else changes with Time. So if the sun, the guardian of earth is eclipsed by the moon, which is symbolic of insanity (lune-atic), then basically there is chaos. hmm maybe i'm not making any sense.

Anyway, what does the title of this album mean? The dark side of the moon is not mentioned in this album, what's special about it and not the bright side of the moon?

isn't Dark Side of The Moon reference to occult terminology pertaining to the human sub conscious?

and to WI i always thought dark side of the moon was more a referance to crazyness like when the moon is blocked out its a luner (sp) eclipse a root word of luner (sp) is lun which i sthe same root for the word lunatic and in anceint time (liek greeks and romans) ppl who worshiped the moon were lunatics...but now adays luntic means your crazy... but thats jsut my opion
