I just hope my funeral is fun for everyone that goes...like an old fashioned Irish wake. Hell, I hope someone gets trashed and tries to dance with me.

I want to be buried with my guitar, too.

Anyway...

I'm Shakin'- Rooney

Play it again, Sam.

I posted a couple of years ago on this one - chose 'Funeral For A Friend' (I think).

But I'd like to change it to BDG's 'Near The End'

Thinking that we're getting older and wiser
When we're just getting old

I love that line! I want that on my tombstone.

Bob Dylan's Every Grain of Sand and Slow Train Coming. I don't want a funeral BTW: just a get together with friends and family with all my favorite things clustered around. Most funerals don't ever convey the spirit of the deceased. It is better to have this be a celebration and good remembrance rather than funereal.

The whole Wish You Were Here album, although that is kind of cliche.

Maybe "Wish you were here"
"Imagine" by the Beatles
"Tear's In Heaven" by Clapton
"Blowin in the Wind" by Dylan (Dylan, himself of course would perform it because I know him and all [I wish!])

As for a more traditional song,

from Mozarts Coronation Mass in Cmin, "Credo"

No funerals for me thanks! Just stick a lampshade on my head and an electric flex up my rear, and stand me in the hallway. Great fun for all the family as they switch you on and off! A (optional) CD player could be added for a wide selection of entertainment to suit all tastes.
