Ben Folds, Counting Crows, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, John Scofield, the Kronos Quartet, Mogwai, Pedro the Lion, Philip Glass, Radiohead, Sigur Rós, Wilco. To name a few.

I can hear the talent in Radiohead, but I can't get used to the lead singer's voice. Some of their songs sound sort of Aphex Twin-ish

I know a lot of Aphex Twin fans who would be upset by that. Also a lot of Radiohead fans.

I think some new bands surpass the old bands too, but I suggest you check out:

Spocks Beard, Porcupine Tree, Transatlantic, The Glass Hammers, Dream Theater, The Flower Kings and some more that don't come immediatly to mind. <---these bands are all 'progressive' therefore, good

Spocks Beard's 'Snow', a new double disk album is FAR superior to The Wall, and is a lot like Genesis's The Lamb Lies Down On Brodway, but again, far superior. Bands that are serious about rock are just getting better, I seriously suggest you check these guys out. Another thing: You might not be able to find all this stuff at any old CD store, it must be one that carries Progressive Rock.

Some Pink Floyd stuff is progressive rock, but on the whole, not really.

Right. I would say The Floyd were more prog during the pre-Wall period...
