Hey People, I posted this back in April. By now you all should have heard Stillborn, and if you haven't, well then you're not listening to enough radio!

Anyways, any thoughts on the song? The new stuff coming out doesn't even compare, IMO.

My heart is breaking here. I'm just really pulling for this band, because Zakk is the shit. And the album is great! There's even a Floyd-ish like song his new album.

Please tell me one of you guys have heard it, please!

I agree with the first post of this thread...
I'm 19, and I've grown up listening to the greats as well..And I can't stand anything new, because yes, tis crap. Then I have my
friends who listen to all the new crap tellin' me that my music is crap.
I hate the new music, and I'm afraid music may be goin' waaaay downhill...The future of music is going to be crazy...Unless Floyd and other greats become big again in the 2070's !!! lol
Maybe....all we can do is see, and hope....I can see myeslf being like 80, and listening to Floyd...
Anyway, yeah, I'm fed up with new music and most of my generation is listening to it, and well, it only means that this new music will become classic in a few years and, well...that's realyl, really a sad shame!!!!!

Pink Floyd was 'Crazy' when they came out too.
Give new music a chance. And read the first 20 pages of this thread.

Bands like The Basement, The Coral, The Music, The Thrills etc etc etc are showing the way forward, to say all new music is crap is taking an extremely shortsighted and blinkered view imo.

I think the new music is a crap compared to the classic rock of 60s and 70s. Rock was then the most popular quality music, performed by Beatles, Stones, derivated to another dimension by Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Santana and many others. Now punk and metal are popularized. As neither punk nor metal are my favourite styles of expression (the lack of hammond, saxophone, too much similar artists...), the new music remains a bit of crap. I much more like the new jazz (but not that electronic) and blues. These are my all time constant favourite musical styles.

BTW: other "new" music sucks (i.e. techno, Britney-like pop...)

IMPORTANT: This is only my view. I wish I 'd lived in the 60s.
