Wing'd, my boy. You seem to be struggling with impure thoughts. I would recommend a cold shower; or......look at a picture of Rosie O'Donnell.

I agree...

Corporate radio is definately a Buzz kill. I agree with that one dude talking about Indie-Brit rock; that stuff is really good.

And Sarah Goode is right about the underground bands ruling ass (pardon me for saying) because I've heard a lot of great bands that can't get into record companies because they don't fit the "conformist image." And I know several people who are great singer/songwriters and musicians that can't get accepted because they choose to work alone.

It is the seedy underground of pop, rock, and soul that really possesses anything worth a crap.

Before I go, I got a question. I've heard of a singer/songwriter named Nick Drake, and I also heard he could have been the next Morrison. Is there anyone out there who knows who I'm talking about?
Cheers,

If a cold shower or looking at Rosie O'Donnell doesn't kill your boner, just think of what Dan Akroyd looked like in "Exit to Eden." That'll kill a viagra bulge.

Seriously guys and gals, while rock is taking its dying breath, and hip-hop, new age metal, and meaningless blabbing floods the radio and television waves, it's hard not to notice what I'm talking about. I really hate an abundance of this new music and it is an outrage that music is now based on image and sex appeal. Where's the talent? Songwriters such as Waters, McCaurtney, Lennon, Garcia, and Bob Marley have written some of the world's most fantastic pieces of music because it touched on aspects of human life, and the time period. That and some of it was for political reasons as well (Marley's music specifically as well as Dylan's "Hurricane"). And what is this new music about? It's about absolutely nothing. While some bands remain out there writing meaningful lyrics (Mayer, Radiohead, Yorn, etc.), other bands are just putting forth minimal effort to mass-produce literal lyrics without depth or meaning for any sort of improved existence. I suppose this could be an online petition for the masses that maybe the underground poets, the writers, the Dylan's, the Morrison's will rise up and bring forth a movement to bring real music back to the masses.
I demand an end to Britney Spears and bubblegum pop, I demand an end to StainD's whining, and every other band who doesn't know what the f*ck a guitar, drum, or even piano solo is.
In hopes of a better, metaphorical world,

Dammit, I just spent twenty minutes wqriting out a well thought out response to this moronic post, and after I hit the submit button I got the ol' CANNOT FIND SERVER page, thus erasing everything I said. Oh well, another time maybe.

i'm a lost cause, stratman. Though Ms. Spears to me is...weird. Can't explain really, I'm tired of her...I've just seen too much of her..which is odd, because I've never met her and I already don't want to.

That's not weird. I think it's pretty normal actually. I'd go into this further, but I might offend certain "people". Angel and Mark would get that last thing.

I can't believe a Pink Floyd forum contains a discussion about Britney Spears and her various attributes.

Oh, yes I can. But do grow up, please? All of you? I'll give you a lolly.
