I think you've been sucking in too much of that clean thin air up on Red Screes, and its gone to your head! Stick your head between your knees for half an hour!

Well,needless to say even i feel the same..and i wont go on and on about how much crappy the mainstream music scene has gotten of late.Its worse for people like me livin off in a 3rd world(or developing ,if i'm to be modest about it) country,cut off from any source of exposure to the latest happenings as far as the rock scene is concerned.
Anyway,i'm not overtly worried about that.The Human race is bound to suffer further mental deterioration in the years to come,and popular music will most likely be its poster boy.Me,I'm quite happy roamin around with my head in the 70's (though not exactly of that generation,i can pretty much imagine how it felt to be in that era,and it's a good feeling ),with my cd player belting out floyd,dire straits or Jethro Tull most of the time.
Its sad that channels like MTV that were supposed to promote the cause of good,sensible music (ha,ha,ha) are systemetically destroying it.
However,there are glimmers of hope.I recently had a glimpse at one of these bands called "Kings Of Convenience".Very musical,very retro..Almost reminded me of Simon And Garfunkel.Anyway,u folks will be knowing much more about these doodes than me.

In which 3rd World country do you live?

Also, I personally believe that there are many more opportunities for bands that are outside of the mainstream than ever before.
