**** knows how many timea I have said this on these forums but here goes again.
If we are going to talk about good underground bands that deserve so much more get some John Butler Trio into you.
Yhe guy is completely independent yet he draws in huge crowds. You will never pay any more than $30 for a gig and then they go for around three hrs (the last one i went to was 4 and a half hrs long)
He's well known around Oz and the music festival scene. Hs managed alt his on a completely independent label, no advertising, no video clips and occasional radio play from obscure radio stations.

cheers

Their new single isn't that good compared to other RHCP songs IMO. But pretty good as a new released song.

Funny, I always thought of Chili Peppers as one of those corporate bands (erspecially after Blood Sugar Sex Majik). But Californication was a pretty decent album. As for blaming record companies, I don't. They are selling what people are buying. If you could sell Mud in a bottle for 5 bucks a bottle and wine in a bottle for 5 bucks a bottle but everyone wanted the mud, you'd stop making the wine, correct? If good music is really that important to you, then go support it by listening to the alternative radio stations, buy from independent labels, go to bars for a 10 dollar cover charge, instead of the 80 dollar stadium seats. Stop your whining about what other people like, and support what you like.
