Rap/ Hip Hop, whatever you want to call it....it isnt music. Its hieroglyphics to a beat.

To those who posted immediately after my last post: I know I'll never change your mind, but your posts express how little exposure you have had to rap.

While I don't consider Will Smith a great musician, his stuff is at least amusing on some level and, to quote Marshal Mathers, he "doesn't have to swear to sell records."

PS Elvis, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, The Who, etc. etc. have written many a song about "nookie," drugs, and violence. And Roger Waters himself has been known to use the word "****" more than once.

PPS It is my belief J. Hendrix is the most overrated guitar player/hack the universe has ever known, but you don't see me crying in some thread called "Is it just me or does most old music suck ass?" because I simply don't like one artist, band, genre, or even age of music.
