Fine, buddy.

But now he's resigned to his fate
'Cause life's not unkind
He doesn't mind
He stood in a field where barley grows."

I'm just a simple man trying to make it in the universe. The odd drunken atavistic resurgence makes for compelling entertainment also. Who am I to fight against my programming?

Cheers and I love the photo,

Mark

What the hell is up with this thread hi-jack?

Anyway - on topic

I just checked my Ch. 24 and you are right! Around the 3 min mark mainly (+to a less extent in other parts) there is a lot of fuzz! how annoying!

Re: Followup to "question about Piper"

Yup, I dug up my Stereo Piper and I can hear it too. It's only in the left channel though. Probably just a result of careless mixing on Norman Smith's part. It's not there in the mono Piper, so my suggestion to you (as always in cases like this where people have problems with the antiquated production values of this album) would be to track down a mono Piper CD.

The mono Piper CD rocks. Very nice packaging and postcards.

Re: Followup to "question about Piper"

yes indeed!

and it's a completely different mix, too, not just the stereo mix "reduced" to one channel like you can do in Nero

Re: Followup to "question about Piper"

Exactly. That's why it's cool to find later Beatles albums (Sgt. Pepper's, White Album) on mono vinyl - because they are different mixes. There's little differences in between the two different mixes, on both of the above albums.

You're not crazy... welcome to the Golden Ears club. It's a sort of curse.
