Music Recomendation Thread

I though I'd make this stupid thread up for those of you who may have a few recomendations for the rest of us to check out.

I've read where quite a few people said to check out Queensryche's "Operation Mindcrime". I am in the process of listening to it for the first time, i'll give my thoughts later.

Anyway, if you have any suggestions of songs, albums, or bands, put it down.

Here are a few that have been mentioned:

Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
Radiohead - Kid A
Radiohead - OK Computer
Sigur Ros - Agaetis Byrjun

Damn, I don't think I could have expected "Operation Mindcrime" to be as good as it was! I don't believe that I've missed this album for so long! This is a classic and a must hear for any fan of the rock genre. 9/10

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't write for fecking Rolling Stone!

Glad to hear you liked it. Did the beginning of "Eyes Of A Stranger" sound familiar?

I guess you could say that was an homage to Empty Spaces and the great Floyd machine.

Metallica - Master of Puppets
Postishead - Dummy, self-titled
The Doors - self-titled, Strange Days
The Velvet Underground - self-titled (with Nico)
Alice Cooper - Killer
The Who-Tommy
The soundtrack to Lost Highway
Nine Inch Nails - Broken
The Beatles - self-titled (White Album)
The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds (the only good album they ever did, in my opinion)
The Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols
Ramones - self-titled
Clash - London Calling
KMFDM - Angst
They Might Be Giants - self-titled, Factory Showroom
The Cure - their first album (can't remember the name at the moment)
TSGE - Chromatic
System of a Down - self-titled, Toxicity
The Beastie Boys - Ill Communication
(The Diabolical) Biz Markie - The Biz Never Sleeps

I'm sorry to recommend rap albums, is anyone has a strange problem with that.

And that's all I can think of at the moment.

(Oh, yes... System of a Down is going to play my town on the 27th of June... I'm gonna buy my ticket tommorow! I'm excited.)

Such diversity!
I've heard 13 of those albums.
You forgot Wolverine blues. Too obvious?
