Count on me Thorin.

If you ever get locked out of your call yell out, "Mrs. Smith's fish sticks are even better when you're dead." And after everyone stops looking at you, I'll appear from under your car, and help you get back in there. I have my ways of getting people out of a fix.

I always question advertisement claims. As stated, no insult intended. My music is an honest attempt at expression. With a history of great music behind it. John Coltrane pretty much explored all the way out of the galaxy and it's been alot of refinement since than. Machines are not gonna break any new ground in terms of musical expression. A machine limits you to it's functions. Like, no matter how bad you want to fly, a car just wont do it. Never stop searching, though.

Learning To Fly video

Sorry to interrupt, but I'm hoping that someone can answer this question. First, the preface:

I have a friend from high school who, after years of hard drugs, is CONVINCED that the guy with the scythe in the 'Learning To Fly' video is HIM. Actually, the still photo on the AMLoR booklet on the "Yet Another Movie" lyric page. I showed him the video, and he still maintains it is him. I found a MOLE on the guy's left shoulder (going thru the vid frame-by-frame) which is barely, but definitely, perceptible on the still photo.

Now, I did my research and found that the outdoor sequences were filmed west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is still not convinced.

I realize he is nuts, but I'm hoping that by peeling away a layer of his delusion, perhaps he will begin the road to wellness.

So, my question: What is the NAME of the guy in the video? If you are seriously responding, what is your source?

Thanks Pink Floyd people. I'll send you a free cd with a 12 minute re-interpretation of INTERSTELLAR OVERDRIVE by my band. You won't be disappointed (I hope!)

Re: Pink Floyd Music Videos

In the Grand Scheme of Things, anything's possible...except this. My friend (let's call him C) claims he met Pink Floyd in eastern Washington in 1987 when 'we guys' took a venture to the Grand Coulee dam for a 4-day weekend. He signed a release at Rick Wright's request for the use of the photos, and then C "took their dreams away". Lyrical references to C riddle AMLoR, and now he is being tortured via a computer chip in his head.

C was supposed to have walked out on stage on New Year's Eve 2000 with his 5-foot tall top hat, then Rick was going to drip liquid LSD into C's eyes during the concert. C believes that he would then channel Jesus Christ, and every TV set and computer screen in the world would channel his vision, and the world would be forever changed. Since C failed to complete this mission, and the fact "The Controllers" are time-travelers, every time C doesn't appear he gets punished. They shock, poke, and pound psychic nails into him incessantly, and therefore, he qualifies for welfare. He makes more money than I do!

The recent unearthing of the Learning To Fly video has shaken his world, as the still photo has now come to life, and all can see its NOT C, but he is clinging to his story. Call me a junior Freud with my own Syd to work on. I want the old C back, but his delusions flood and divert every conversation.

I swear to Gilmour this is true. And another thing, he absolutely CANNOT sit thru Syd's songs, but he used to in High School (Class of 1987!). I think that Syd bridged madness thru his music, and some people like C who are so close to the edge get pulled uncomfortably closer to the Wildwood.

Anyway, anyone who knows the IDENTITY of the guy in the blue shirt with the scythe on the Learning To Fly video, please come forward, and bring references. Is there any info in the Storm Thorgerson book? THANKS!!!
