So far, I think Gerald's third logo looks the best--the text stands out, but the quality of the rest of the image is not lost.

Okay.

I too worried about the loss of clarity of the various elements in the logo, and used the larger mosaic tiles to reduce the loss.

Am stuck on mosaic in homage also to Live at Pompeii, I guess.

Hullo chums,

I was out of town for a couple days, so I haven't had any progress on that damn background thing. Does anyone have anything else to say about the logo before I proceed?

Nothing about the logo except that I suggest your #3 version (your very last one).

What sort of background do you think would be suitable?

I was considering a rather simple turquoise/blue ripple pattern, except I realized I have no idea as to how to go about making such a thing. So, it's back to Photoshop for me....

Sounds promising to me...I wish you luck.

You'll also have to think of what colours you want for the parts of the board. I might suggest sea greens...remember that line in "Echoes"?

That's exactly what I was thinking--- sea green and greenish-blue, those sorts of things.

Hey I did a Meddle thing in photoshhop at school. It was this bizzare alteration thing. So I cut out just my head from an image of myself stuck it on the cover of meddle, made it blue and then put a ripple effect over it. I think if you just take a picture of the cover saturate it in a turqoise colour and ripple it it would look cool

what do you think?

cheers

Cool.

Since I have the feeling the background and logo will tend more towards the blue, then perhaps the board colours should tend more towards the green, so the board doesn't get "swallowed up" by the background. A little bit of contrast is good, even with a mellow theme like this.

Well I thought it an interesting suggestion, and was, I must admit, a tiny bit stung on your behalf at the lack of reply.

There's slackage abounding, I fear.

I think that you may be wanting www.mickfleetwood.net as opposed to this site, or even www.SamuelTaylorColeridge.com .
