Nice drawing, FloydWright. That is one of my favorite photos of PF.

Re: "Lord of the Rings"? New Floydian Drawing

You're welcome, Piper.

Da_Floyd_Fan, I think it's human nature to want some attention--even the introverts. You want to be complimented when you do something good, even though you don't want a big production, for instance. Or sometimes you just want to stand out for a minute, even if you don't want that 24/7.

To Shane, thanks. You don't by any chance know where I could find a scan of the original photo, do you?

Thorin..."a bit" odd? I wonder what Mr. Wright would say now if someone brought that up to him?

omigodwhatwasithinkingi'msoembarrassed...!

Here's what really makes me wonder, though. You don't think he actually went out in public in that getup, do you? Then again, this WAS the late 60s. Who knows? I've seen a picture with the hat, but not the rest of it...?

FloydWright: I do not know where you could get that photo online - but I'm sure if you do enough searching, you will find it eventually.

Re: "Lord of the Rings"? New Floydian Drawing

Yeah, you're right. I've only found it twice: once as a poster (with a lot of glare), and second with another picture (and it was in mimeograph purple, from the looks of it!). Hopefully I can find it in better form, but I don't know what keywords to try to bring that up...

I'm sure if you type in 'Rick Wright acid-king dress' a dozen links will pop up.

Nice drawing FloydWright.

That pic is in A Saucerful of Secrets - The Pink Floyd
Odyssey. The caption for it reads:

"The revamped Floyd (from left, Waters, Mason, Gilmour,
and Wright) maintained their psychedelic image through
the Saucerful of Secrets and Ummagumma LP's."

Have a good one everyone. Cya
on the flipside, EvilPoet

Re: "Lord of the Rings"? New Floydian Drawing

Thanks, EvilPoet--but I don't have my own scanner, and the @&$(#'s at the copy shop wouldn't let me get the original photo scanned, thanks to its having a copyright (yet they'd scan my drawing of a copyrighted photo!!!).

And I'm glad you enjoyed the drawing.

Shane--Su-u-u-re. That'll be a REALLY effective search. NOT.

Don't forget Waters reads from a Pooh book in Gone Fishing from Pros and cons. I think Pooh and floyd have a similar zen type of philosophy.
