Guitars on 'Mother"

How many guitars are playing on "Mother". I know Dave plays the lead and Lee Rienour plays an acoustic, but does anyone else think they hear another rhythm guitar in there? Played by Roger perhaps?

Re: Guitars on 'Mother"

It's called a "Bass Guitar." And yes, as most of the rumors you might have heard, Roger Waters does in fact play this "Bass Guitar."

Re: Guitars on 'Mother"

No, i believe its just two guitars, played with superb skill. The hand on the acoustic is slightly hitting the top strings to create an illusion of picking them. Of course, thats just my opinion :P

Re: Guitars on 'Mother"

So why does Lee Ritenour play the acoustic on the album? Roger plays its live, why not in the studio?

If the eath is flat, what about the moon?
and if its flat too, what happens to the dark side of it?

Re: Guitars on 'Mother"

Could have been a last change of plans, very evident in the working styles of PF. Or it could be that they were good buddies. Or maybe, just maybe its another little step taken by PF towards their domination and control over the world...

either way, the song is good

Re: Guitars on 'Mother"

I know what happens to the dark side, it stops reflecting light and starts to suck it in! That's what happens to all those extra light particles from the sun!

Re: Guitars on 'Mother"

Well, once light hits the moon, it expands, pretty soon the dark side of the moon will encompass everything on the dark side. Which means all that will be left of the destroyed universe will be one neverending cylinder going up and down with Earth at the center of it.
Thanks to my theory about the moon being flat
Damn me, damn me to hell

Re: Guitars on 'Mother"

Maybe Ritenour just did it better. I know he played guitar on "One of my Turns" as well.
