PULSE Visuals

I was just curious if the footage they used in PULSE

(IE: When 'Syd' opens the door and all the Apples and Oranges fall out.)

was ever actually released like as in official music video type format because I've never seen it anywhere else but on PULSE and this aquaintince of mine claims it was and I'm far from having all the Floyd bootlegs and information but I do NOT beleive him...but he keeps insisting and I'm almost 100% sure he's wrong but I want someone to confirm it so I can shove it in his face.

I think they may have done some sort of promo for "Apples and Oranges" back in 67. Although it probably would have been a radio brodcast. I know they did a television one in 68, but that was with Dave.

I'll look into it a little more, and get back to you.

They did do one in 67 but there were no real apples or oranges, it was a straight lip-synch like on Top of the Pops.

Syd actually answers Dick Clark's questions, right?

Yeah, I know that was on the other show they did while in America.

The best I can offer is the "High Hopes" video. It's on the official PF site: http://www.pinkfloyd.co.uk -- but you probably knew that.

I agree, it would be nice to have the videos for "Shine On" and "Time" from the last tour online somewhere. Storm Thorgerson has the videos for "Signs of Life (live)," "Learning to Fly (MTV-type)," "The Great Gig in the Sky (live)," "Us and Them (live)," and "Night of 1000 Furry Animals (Rick Wright -- Broken China)" on his web site: http://www.stormthorgerson.co.uk -- but you probably knew that, too.

I don't know, didn't seem like any of them really had opportunity for in depth answers, the only other person who spoke was Rick, and he was just introducing the rest of the band. Also, I thought Syd really started to act up after Bandstand.

right...i was just commenting on that being a tough time for the band, which you are probably right. I associated the tough time with Syd acting strangely, like Shane kind of hinted to. Maybe I over analyzed things like I do from time to time

Back on topic I hope they put these Mr Screen videos on the DVD of Pulse as a special content. It would be so nice...

I'd like an "alternate angle" with just Mr. Screen and nothing else.
