I have 2 guitars, a spanish on which I learned to play without any lessons, and a semi-acoustic Yamaha.
Im playing for about 3 yrs now and before I learned to play the guitar, i played drums for almost 10 yrs.
For the drums I had lessons for 3 yrs.
But ever since I moved out of my parents house, there was no room for a drumkit in my new apprtment anymore.
So kept the kit in storage for a few months and then sold it.
And from that money I bought my first guitar!!!!

i guess i could throw in my list of gear. i have a squier strat with a new mighty mite maple neck an epiphone eb-0 bass a yamaha fg-110 (its the first year they made em) and a fender sk 100 bassman that was given to me ( i blew the speaker in it the other day lol) i have taken a few lessons in the past but they only taught me a few chords the rest i learned on my own. i taught my self the minor pentonic scales i just found some cool A dorian mode that sounds interesting. blues scales are probaly one of the most heavy thing that i use i my playing an when i improvise.

Hello!

I play the piano since almost ten years now and I still like it. Has anyone here got the piano tabs for Great Gig In The Sky?
I'd like to start with guitar now, because nearly all the music I listen to has got guitars in it and you are able to play so much different things (even if you aren't very good). But... my question: I'd really like to play electric guitar one time.... do you think it is necessary to start with acoustic guitar firstly or does this not matter? And e-guitars, do they also sound good if you don't attach them to the (sorry for my english.... uhm... don't know that word)..... (guess and hope, you know what I mean).

Thanks, have a nice Weekend
