Hello

Hi guys!
Great to have found this forum! I'm a hardcore of fan of floyd since the last 2 years - i have every album except "Relics" (of which incidentally i have never heard a single song). I am into lead guitaring myself.. and can play some of gilmour, but I am still trying hard to infuse the same feel into my notes like him...
as far as I am concerned... Floyd is a religion and Gilmour is GOD!

As for my username...

those who know floyd, know Publius Enigma...

Relics is only a collection of songs already released in the albums, so don't mind not having it or not having heard it.
About going into the guitar: Well, it'll take you some YEARS to have the same feeling that DG has. I try to play something myself, and it was Pink Floyd that made me start playing the guitar, and it's hard like hell!! But, we, mere mortals, have to be happy just praying for the GOD!
Besides, PF has the most advanced music tecnology in the world: trying to be close to it is ridiculous.

Shine on and keep praying

Hmmm...I thought we'd long ago dismissed all claims that Roger, David, Richard or Nick are GOD; just incomparable when playing together.
Don't waste your prayers, keep practicing your guitars.

As for your username...

...well, the following link will give you a taste of what the boards have said thus far:

But welcome anyway. Us skeptics will just have to get over it and embrace our new member.

Frazzled Floydian,
Byron

hmm.. a mixed reception.. well!

Seamus15 : yeh dude, i dunno when i'll be able to play anything close. I mean it's absurd! If Gilmour plays even a single note, it can carry with itself so much feeling, to inspire so much thought!

about relics - doesn't it have songs like "ibiza" and "up the khyber" ? or did i mix up another band's songs? anyways, these are songs i really want to get my hands on!

I SAID "welcome." (j/k= )

Not meaning to nitpick, but the name is either Byron, or generally BoaB (Bride of a Bull).

A tad more care would be appreciated, thanks.

Gratefully yours,
Byron

p.s. Were you expecting a particular sort of reception?

Hey! No pickin' on BoaB! Or he'll strap on his leathers and ride his cycle all over your face.

Let's try to show a little respect for someone who has brought as much to these threads as FWr

On second thought, FWr has no equal, but Boab is right up there with her!
