I THOUGHT Alice was the oldest! Recently I found an interview with Dave (from 1984) where he said Sara was the oldest. I don't know if Dave feeds the press misinfo or if it's just sloppy journalism. Well, I'll go back and edit that list of ages one more time.

If I were Dave I would be very secretive about my children too. He himself doesn't even like the spotlight much so it's obvious he would keep his kids out too (which occasionally hinders obsessive curioses like us ). I get the impression that he is a very good father. Quite the homebody. He's said in interviews that his greatest source of pleasure and laughter is his children...aw, what a sweet guy.

And it definetely IS a good thing he's so rich...he (well, Polly actually) just keeps poppin' out those kids like Pez. I'm thinking maybe one more and that'll be it ; Dave's really isn't getting any younger, but I'm sure all his parts are in working order.

I think looking for info on the celebrity is a whole new kind of disturbing.

I would think not putting Mr. Gilmour's name on the site would be for a simple reason--ducking search engines. Which is a smart thing to do, in my opinion.

I think there are ways that fandom can go too far. We can admire the work all we want, but we have no right to trespass into people's private lives.

That's also why I am very, VERY leery about believing any rumours about the Floydians' children, including the one that supposedly has Mr. Gilmour's daughter being seen with Harry Waters. I think we as a group of fans really need to back off some...there are times when it reaches the level of ridiculous.

Very well said, FWr. Although it would be nice to see his children, it would probably be very disconcerting for them so they should be left in peace.

And his parts are probably are in working order and will be for some time. Polly had better use protection sometime, she seems very fertile on the basis of all the kids she's had!

Enter the devil!

FloydWright: I completely understand your point. I (and most fans for that matter) would never want to cross the line or invade someone's God given privacy, and I definitely don't agree with the sleazy tactics or wild rumours that some media will use just to get a story or a bit of insider info. But fans get curious and I think that a healthy curiousity of a favourite celebrity of some sort is fine. After all, isn't that what brings all of US together?

A healthy curiosity is fine. I just tend to think that a person's family, and private matters in their lives are theirs alone. That is, unless they choose to reveal details, as in Broken China for instance.

A good point well understood. I'm sorry if my curiosity of Dave's private life has offended you in any way...

No, you haven't done anything offensive.

I just thought it was a point that needed making; that's all.

I do like to see an argument settled.

I feel so soft suddenly.

3, 2, 1 you're out!

Demon in the dark!

"Observe the bull as he stands in the field. Watch him for a moment. Now he is moving, swishing his tail from side to side. He's turning- don't miss this- turning, to the left, to the camera now. Now he is glaring at the camera and... pawing the ground? He's going to charge, quick, run, run!"

Tragic, but terribly funny.
