Hello, good morning/afternoon/evening and welcome.

No, I believe we have a couple of 14 year olds on here as members. Sorry. Bang goes your claim to fame, I guess.

14 ?? 15 ?? Hell, where did my youth go

Oh well, you're as old as you feel I guess ( or is that as old as the person you are feeling ? )

There is a school of thought (Circular Ageing) that says that you never actually get any older, even though you age. Mind you, it makes about as much sense in the real world as does the "Inquiring Minds want to know" thread.

Read it. Its funny, for a bit and then you begin to cry, overcome by cheese. And then you begin to have nightmares about it. And it consumes your life and all you can think about is CHEESE!

Or so Ive heard.

Hey, I'm flattered

As for the Circular Ageing thing , I must admit I don't feel any older than I did when I was sixteen even though I'm approaching advanced decrepitude!
My wife is still waiting for me to grow up that's for sure

When I was young, all I ever wanted to be was an adult. As an adult, all I yearn for is to be young again.

Well I believe the "feeling older" thing comes down to experiences. I certainly wouldn't want to be 16 again, unless I could know what I know now.

yeah, i believe we all just live in one continuous moment. Time is supposed to be constant right? Then why does it seem sometimes that time is going faster or slower than should be at certain moments? I know the hands of a clock don't vary in speed (unless they're broken or something) but I tend to think time is vulnerable to emotion. Just my little crazy theory.

I'll be 16 in August, by the way.

Time definitely seems to speed up as you get older and settle into "The terrible dailyness". To a kid in school, the 9-month school year seems to last forever....to the kid's parents, it seems that just when you get 'em settled in school, they're out again on summer vacation.

I think you're right, Wing'd.......Time "speeds by" when you are doing something you like. It "crawls" when you're doing something you detest. (Keep that in mind when seeking a career, guys).

indeed. though, i haven't yet experienced the reverse side of the spectrum on the whole "school year" standard.
