Question Concerning The Song 'Fingals Cave'

You're probably downloading different unreleased Zabriskie Point songs that are mislabeled as Fingals Cave. If I'm not mistaken, these are all the Zabriskie tracks:

Heart Beat Pig Meat (soundtrack and film version)
Crumbling Land (soundtrack, fast, extended, film, and rock versions)
Come In Number 51 (Soundtrack and film versions)
The Violent Sequence
Love Scene 2 (vibes)
Unknown Song (aka Rain In The Country, soundtrack, rough, early, and alt versions)
Country Song (Soundtrack, alt, humming, and instrumental versions)
Love Scene 4 (Soundtrack & piano vibes mix)
Love Scene 6 (Soundtrack and alt versions)
Oneone (final, early, extended, short, alt versions)
Fingals Cave

I'm sorry, but I don't have the track lengths, but if you track them down you should be able to determine which is which. By the way, this thread should be in the After Syd forum.

There's a rock version of Crumbling Land? I've got to find that!

The bootleg "Ultimate Zabriskie Point" has all these tracks plus "Moonhead," the main theme from The Committee, and a soundboard recording of "Set the Controls..." from a documentary, all on 2 CDs. Well worth getting.

You'll have to be more specific, but they sound like they might be versions of Love Scene. Do the keyboards include a vibraphone (bell-like noises)?

well one is just like keyboard with a little guitar every now and then.

and the other has the first song (the one with keyboard and a little guitar every now and then) as a background and bells and different noises added to it (some sound like people ****ing. the lady call's the guy mark, and he says "oh shit, i'm cuming" and a bunch of other nasty sounding shit).

the one with added noises is about 6:53

the other, 6:21

I've read about a natural monument in Scottland called Fingal's Cave.
All bootlegs I know have the organ instrumental called Oenone or Oneone. I don't know which one's right, but Oenone was a nymph in Greek mythology, but I don't know how does it correspond with the music.
Oenone (the keyboard instrumental) scares me. The slide guitar is strange.
