| Re: Pulse DVD? Just read it Larry...OK, I will definitely not get a pirated Ebay copy...Still debating whether to get a VHS version or not...I love the concert, even if doesn't compare with Floyd in their heyday...

| Re: Pulse DVD? Man, is this thing STILL not out? Yeesh. I'm about ready to give up on it. Or maybe buy one of those crap quality ones off of ebay. Not what I want, but I don't have a VCR on my HT system (or really anywhere to connect it) (got a TV, Xbox, Game Cube, HD cable box, HTPC, and DVD player already all connected. I'm running out of room badly). I never bought the VHS of PULSE b/c I was waiting for the DVD. I have the VCD version, but the MPEG compression just simply can't handle the rapid changing of the lights (at least not at the bitrate on a VCD) and gets all blocky and distorted. Are there even any hints or rumors ATM? Not that I'd hold my breath or anything at this point. |

| Re: Pulse DVD? Quote:
As posted elsewhere on these fora the production of the Pulse DVD is almost finished and should be released in 2004 even if the official release date is still TBA. This news comes from EMKA Productions (Floyd management) and has been posted recently on the Brain Damage Online website. The guys from EMKA also confirmed David Gilmour and Rick Wright new albums, by the way.

| Re: Pulse DVD? Thanks. I've been itching for some news. I did eventually find something that suggested sept-oct time frame, so I guess we'll have to wait and see. Lord knows I've waited this long. |

| <off topic> Anyone knows where to get the latest news about tours of the the band?</offtopic> Pulse would be interesting to have on dvd , but i hope that they mix it up to DTS as well since this will sound even Devliliouser than the Dolby Digital 5.1 mix.. 'till the official release for the world we will have to wait!

| Re: Pulse DVD? I have no economic issues about buying PULSE on DVD, I just got to have it! I looked around www.brain-damage.co.uk, and found the following: Quote:
And by the way, I prefer the clean stereo sound, rather than upmixed 5.1 sorround..

| Re: Pulse DVD? Sure, they're spending about two years of work of people including David Gilmour, Storm Thorgerson and James Guthrie just for keeping the final product in their private houses. It does make sense, indeed. ![]()
