Those of us who play guitar (Stratman, Shane G, Myself) are very much fans of his style and abilities,

Don't fret, he has not been omited.
I can play the acoustic guitar

( Never even touched those electric ones

Here's my list, in no particular order, cept #1.

1)Jimi Hendrix (Some of yall didn't even have him in your top 5/10 lists! Comon, name me another guitarist who played guitar solos with his teeth, through his legs, and behind his back. Not to mention he revolutionized rock..)

2)Eric Clapton (This guy is just damn good)

3)Yngwie Malmsteen (This guy is a friggin speed demon. Sooo fast.)

4)Jimmy Page (ZEPPY)

5)Santana

Malmsteen yes, I've seen the speed. Apparently he's amazing because of the speed he exhibits "walking"...shoot I'm not a guitar player...someone help me out here. The long way down the neck speed..instead of up and down. If that makes any sense.

Tim Renwick is actually quite good. He played on the floyd Pulse tour. He also does some nice work on Al Stewart's album 'Year of the cat'.

no particular order...

David Gilmour
John Petrucci
Brian May
Eric Claption
The Edge(nice sound)
Joe Satriani
Richie Blackmore
Jimmy Paige

off to a slight tangent while i consume Alans psychadelic Breakfast.....

>> The truth about ...Jimi Hendrix
He wasn't great, not in comparison to some i have listed above. But if it weren't for him, they might not have had an idol.
Here are his fame facts...
1. Died young (instant hero)
2. Played a right handed guiter left handed...
3. Set his guitars on fire
4. Innovator
5. He was a Black

All of these things contributed to his fame. I personally don't like his sound, its too raw and unfinished. People continue to chant Jimi Jimi because their friends do, get off the band-wagon people and say what you really think.

(that last message was not aimed at anyone in this forum BTW)

thank you
