Roger has said that it is not war in general, its meaningless wars he's against. I think he appreciates that war against Htiler was a necessity, but not more recent wars which weren't completely necessary. (I'm guessing the Faulklands War here)

As for his music I think it shows his character but it doesn't mean that his opinions have changed. He has said recently that he doesn't think he did anything wrong with regards to how he treated his bandmates.
