Should I buy -Inside Out-?

I would really like to buy a Floyd book and I don't know which one to get.
Inside Out by Nick Mason looks pretty darn good and I can get it at Amazon for like $25.
Is that the book I should purchase or is there something much better or something else coming out I should be aware of?

Re: Should I buy -Inside Out-?

If you want ONE book about Pink Floyd, you want Inside Out. It's well written, it features amazing photos... and it has a cover by Storm. There are other good books (the Schaffner one, Storm Thorgerson's Mind Over Matter) which are worth to have but Inside Out is THE book, at the moment.

Go and buy it now.

Re: Should I buy -Inside Out-?

I'd like to get this book as it would be a damn good read. However, I don't have the patience to read a book! Though if you are a bookworm then go for it

Must have taken you a LONG time, since its like 350+ pages. I sure wish I had the time to be able to do that.

I am about a quarter of the way through and so far its great. I highly recommend to anyone who loves Pink Floyd for more than just their music.

Re: Should I buy -Inside Out-?

For all of you out there who don't want to spend too much money on the book, take a look around and you should be able to find it somewhere for less than $30. I got mine last week for like $22 at Tower Records.

YES! YES! YES!

I just got my copy today and am impressed. I'm looking forward to reading it when I get a chance. Great photos throughout!

Coincidently, the first thing I looked at had an error. (page 212) Nick referred to the Pittsburgh Pro Football team name as the "Pirates", whereas the name is actually the "Steelers". (Although "Pirates" WAS a name used for the old AAFL team back in the 1930's, as well as the name of the baseball team, of course). I'll not hold that against him.

Oh, for Terminalfrost and Driven (If he's still around), pages 288, 305 --RACHEL FURY!!!!! YOW!!!!

Thanks for the heads-up, Stratters. Looks like I've got my Father's Day gift picked out!
