Anyone know?

Late last night I was channel surfing, and on one of the channels there was an infomercial for a set of 6 (or more) Pink Floyd albums, however, I fell asleep before they gave a number to order... anyone know what that set was called, and a number where I can call and order it?

Re: Anyone know?

If it was a box set it's probably the Shine On box set. It contains Saucerful, Meddle, Dark Side, WYWH, Animals, The Wall, Momentary and the (truly wonderful) bonus CD called The Early Singles. It's been released in 1992 I think.

Re: Anyone know?

Mad Yannis, you are incorrect. Just moments ago, I watched said infomercial. It is called The Essential Pink Floyd Collection. Contains AHM, The Wall, Dark Side, WYWH, and the newly released Echoes: Best of... All this plus 3 posters, a key chain, and liner notes. For just 3 easy payments of 39.99, plus 9.99 shipping and handling. I am not joking, 8 CDs (because the wall and echoes are 2-disc albums) for $130.

OK, well, I'm not gonna do it, but the infomercial was pretty cool, it showed live footage of The Wall concerts, as well as clips from Pompeii, Tonight..., and PULSE.

I was just guessing, obviously. I will never see the infomercial you are talking about, probably!

Re: Anyone know?

I understand, just pointing out that said infomercial exists, and I thought it odd that I caught the last few moments of it while I waas logging onto the internet, to come to this very site.

Re: Anyone know?

hey I saw that infomercial the other day... the video footage was pretty cool (especially from PULSE... I gotta get that VCD/DVD)... the wall footage was cool too...

I couldn't help just laugh though, cause everytime the narrator said they were taking a break and would be right back, the break was a commercial for the infomercial... found it rather amusing
