Would Roger go to David's Funeral?/Dave go to Roger's?

One thing I have wondered for quite a long time is when Roger or Dave dies, (wich i hope isn't for quite a while) do you guys think that the other would go to the funeral?

Just a question i thought i might bring up to see what kind of responses come up.

Im new here so I really don't know everyone that well, I have viewed a lot of forums though before i registered so I know some of you.

That's an interesting question, I would like to think that each of them would be big enough to put aside any personal differences at such a time but..................I'm not so sure.

yeah, really, you'd want them to all be there for each other. wonder who would show had Syd died? Or would they even know if he died in the first place?

Roger's many things, but he isn't a hypocrite. He might issue a statement commenting on the amount of albums that they released together, but that would probably be it, I reckon.

Cheers,

Mark

I'm sure Dave would attend Rog's, keeping up appearances and all. It is a toss-up about wether or not Rog would attend Dave's. I don't think attending would make him a hypocrite.

Amassing huge sums of money for writing a song on the evils of wealth isn't being a hypocrite?

Criticising Rick for buying a big mansion in the country and then buying one himself a few months later ?

Fine then. I'm wrong. It happens occasionally. I've learned to accept it

Criticising Floyd for playing in stadiums and then touring in stadiums himself?

And the list is longer.

On no you didn't!

But let's be fair, if you're talking about Money and not Empty Spaces or Perfect Sense, Roger couldn't possibly have known what a massive success that song, that album would be when he recorded it.

I'm sure he was a typical contracted, avant garde Rock band member just trying to produce something HE liked and could face releasing, and no doubt hoping it did well. It did VERY well indeed, and kudos to him/them. Was that his/their fault?

Hypocrisy? Irony, I'd say.

But of course he did. It was HIS paycheck. If you'd composed and recorded your music, under contract, and it sold enormously, ironically so, wouldn't you bank your rightful due?

Come on, NNJ, don't go all "pinko" on us.
