| Everything you ever wanted to know about Floyd (but were afraid to ask) I'll start: In 'One of My Turns,' why does he have a 'favourite' axe? How many axes does one tend to own? And why keep it in a suitcase in the bedroom? Questions? Comments? |

| Taking another APFFN hiatus, I was reluctant to post here, but D_F_F's post was in error, so I HAD to say something. It's "It's just a passing phase, one of my bad days." Because indeed he does have several axes for different axings, and if he's in an hotel room, to prevent others thinking he's a mad man, naturally he keeps his "favourite" axe in his suitcase. Can't have the groupies running away screaming about Pink and his axe. Could axe be alluding to the common nickname for lead guitarists as "axemen"? | Seems as we are on 'One of my Turns', how come in the film he throws the TV out of the indow during this song but later on in the film hes still watching it? |

| Easy answer: flashback. |

| It can't be a flashback because he is watching the tv when Bob Hoskins etc... break into his hotel room which is after 'One of my Turns' and the start of the legendary 'Comfortably Numb' |

Ok- you can look at this question thusly: He's been given a new hotel room. He IS a rich Rock Star, after all. Or Artistic license. Or Abstraction. He's not actually watching television. The scene never 'physically' happened. Cheers, Mark |

| How come he takes the groupie into his trailer, but the scene takes place in a hotel room. The movie doesn't have to make much literal sense. |

| How's this for an answer..... CONTINUNITY ERRORS.... That's what happens when you hire a director who's only major credit was a soap commercial, and hire Geldof as your principal actor. I love Pink Floyd. Dave is the best guitar player I know. Roger is a lyrical genius. PF's career and longevity are testament to their timeless appeal. The Wall (album) is a masterpiece. The Wall (the movie) is a disaster, it sucks. |

| I'd say the movie was head and shoulders over the album, actually. But I wouldn't say either of them are indicative of what good music should be. |

| I wouldn't go so far as to say the movie was a disaster. I grant you its not a success in as much as a feature film sucess would be measured but at the end of the day its the album of the wall with pictures. A series of videos to the tracks, so the music is the essential ingredient to whether or not it is a sucess or not. I'm sure not everybody will agree with me on this but I wouldn't really expect any less. |
