Roger at Festival Hall

For those of you in the London area, Roger is appearing as a guest of Jeff Beck's at the Royal Festival Hall on 12th September.
Still tickets left if you're quick.

Re: Roger at Festival Hall

Sorry, but I am currently unemployed and cannot afford the tickets for that concert. I'd already bought the DG and RW tickets before becoming redundant.

In any case, I would have wanted to see Roger with Jeff as a guest, not the other way round, so we shall have to hope for someone else's review.

Good luck!
Byron

Re: Roger at Festival Hall

Well Roger did appear tonight, albeit briefly.
He performed two songs from 'Amused to Death', namely:
'What God Wants Part 1' and 'Part 3', which Jeff Beck
had originally played on.

Roger came out dressed in black suit and black t-shirt. with
Andy Fairwether-Low and the three girls (God bless her,
Katie Kissoon decided to wear a leather cat-suit!) :o

It was good while it lasted but these two songs seemed hopelessly out of context in a concert that ended with
the dreadful 'Hi Ho Silver Lining' (Even Jeff Beck couldn't
hide his embarrasement saying '**** it, is this it? and banging his head against his microphone before singing it.)

Great to see Roger in a small venue, though a bit of a let down that he was only on stage ten minutes. Quite a few left after Rogers bit, lots of Floyd t-shirts there hoping for more Waters less Beck.

Classic!

I'm now not so crestfallen to have missed it. Thanks for the review, James1after909.

Roger at Jeff's concert

Me and my Dad were at the second night of the concert when Roger also appeared doing the same set. Katie Kisson was there and so was PP Arnold. My dad spotted Snowy White and Harry Waters in the audiance, and of course got their autograph. Did anyone else spot them? I have to say I think Roger got a louder cheer than Jeff Beck; it was a shame he only did the one song, but there you go.
