Question Help needed downunder

In the music press about a month back they were mentioning a release of a double cd of early (Sid included) Floyd tracks previously unreleased.

As yet haven't found it. Does anyone know if it was released, and if so what it was called

Re: Help needed downunder

Hey Jethro... welcome to APFFN! Unless they were talking about Echoes, which does have some unreleased (on CD, that is) tracks, I haven't the foggiest. If it does indeed exist, it may be an illegitimate release (bootleg... roio... cookie... whatever you wanna call 'em).

Re: Help needed downunder

Thanks Botley, all l can remember was they were talking about early Floyd with one CD containing Sid's work and the other previously unreleased Floyd stuff. Maybe they canned the project

Tried my luck at Red Eye (Sydney Music store that can find just about anything) and they are searching for it. Will let you know if anything turns up...

Re: Help needed downunder

Could it be the Early Singles CD from the Shine On box set you're thinking about?

Re: Help needed downunder

Well, a rumour was going through the net a couple of months ago, about the release of a sort of PF Anthology with rare and unreleased material, but it's never been confirmed obviously.

If you're talking about something already released I don't know. EMI released some Barrett's old and rare stuff on Opel and recently on Wouldn't You Miss Me but that's all.

Wouldn't It Be Nice...

I wouldn't doubt if they do release a rare and unreleased CD before too long. I also still hold the suspicion that new material will be released as well; it could be solo stuff like Ummagumma (But why would Pink Floyd want to create another mistake like that was?) along with a final world tour. There still are a bunch of hard headed skeptics out there, so they will complain as much as they can to totally make even the notion of Floyd returning, a possibility. Just look to the fall of 2003, something will happen.

Re: Help needed downunder

If you're needing help down under, why don't you talk to your GP? He can make an appointment at your local GUM clinic. It's nothing to be embarrassed about, and half of the time it's real live proof that you had actual sex with someone (apart from your real live kiddiewink, of course)!

Re: Help needed downunder

Reading the above, I just wanted to backtrack and point out that I didn't mean that Jethro fornicated with children, but that he now 'owns' a wee one, which of course happened by him impregnating a woman of his choice.... erm... er.

I just needed to clear that up.

Transmission ends.
