Re: Favorite Division Bell Moments

I love the whole of this album so all of it is the best DB moment. In one way he doesn't come up to Rog's standards but in another he is equal to Rog.

Whats wrong with the lyrics in Keep Talking?

The whole point of the song (and the album) is lack of communication. What do you expect? A long wordy song with complex lyrics about not being able to talk?

True. But it should have been the album. The rest is crap.

Re: Favorite Division Bell Moments

I personally think the album is well developed and mature, as befits a more mature Floyd. Although it is a softer touch than the RW-driven albums, it is equally serious and more contemplative, whereas Rog was keen to give the audience a limited scope of interpretation. With the songs on TDB, you can interpret the lyrics pretty much in your own way, even if they are not to RW's standards.

Re: Favorite Division Bell Moments

musically i find TDB to be exhilarating, and i have become really fond of the album as a whole. My fav. part of the album is either the opening of WDYWFM or the use of '****' in lost for words. plus there's high hopes. just becoz rog isnt there doesnt mean the floyd r dead.

cheers

Re: Favorite Division Bell Moments

Your right. The Floyd were dead in 1979.

Re: Favorite Division Bell Moments

I had a listen to this again the other day and while there are a few toe-curlers in there, there are also many fine moments to savour.
