Question about a few Floyd shirts i saw
I saw quite a few Floyd shirts at this mall where i live. I was wondering what the little symbol on the back of many of them saying "Still the first one's in space" meant. Does it have to do with the Floyd's music and how different and space age sounding it was or does this mean something else i don't know about? Also, i saw a shirt for the album animals, and it had 4/13 written on it. Is this date significant for anything? Just curious.

The first one probably has something to do with the fact they're considered the pioneers of "cosmic rock", whatever it means
That 4/13... dunno really, i'm not even sure it means April 13th...

That, and also one of the Soviet Cosmonauts took a copy of DSoT up to the Mir Space Station in 1988, giving literal justification to the claim "First in Space".

It was the most recent Floyd release at the time. They just took Tape Two, and no case, to reduce total weight of the spacecraft.
