Re: rick wright

Nah, he just got in Roger's way, I think he should have booted them all out after he engineered Syd's collapse and carried on on his own, after all he WAS Pink Floyd.

Yep, but he didn't contribute as in writing lyrics or compose music... so someone in here will probably trash him

I like this line the most. And let's remember that Rick was the one who got to tune Roger's bass.

Re: rick wright

dude...i said he didn't write any lyrics after 1968...so i was wrong...1969...but if you think that that is a piece of deep and meaningful lryics then you have been disinformed...what important topic is getting dealt with there...Rick being upset that his life amounted to hookers and cocaine??

Re: rick wright

As a great fan of Roger's deliciously beautiful work, I appreciate THE WAY in which you made your opening statement about Rick (it was wonderfully condescending and I really do love that!).

BUT I do not appreciate the statement itself. Now I already said I'm a fan of Roger's first and foremost, but have you ever wondered WHY Rick had a coke problem (allegedly)? I'll give you two guesses...

Also, what makes you think Roger wrote all the songs? He wrote damn good lyrics, but that man is just not so great at writing actual music. Dave and Rick, on the other hand, ARE great at writing music. Put them all together and you've got what we all know and love as pre-1983 Pink Floyd.

So knock off the Rick-bashing! He's a little cutie-pie with a great ear for music and as what_rog_wants said, he was the one to tune Roger's bass during shows!

Well said ITF, it's good to know that not all Rogers' many fans foam at the mouth!

Re: rick wright

condescending or not...roger is the only artist ...the rest were his supporting cast...they were just his session musicians

I've heard all this before, the singer may be different but the song remains the same!

You really don't deserve any kind of reply or response. You are a joke. A sad one.
